DYNAMICS OF AN ELECTRON BEAM FORMED BY MAGNETRON GUN WITH THE SECONDARY EMISSION CATHODE IN THE DECLINING MAGNETIC FIELD OF SOLENOID: EXPERIMENT AND SIMULATION

The article presents the results of research and calculations on formation a radial electron beam by magnetron gun with secondary emission cathode in energy range 35...65 keV measuring its parameters during transportation total decreasing magnetic field thesolenoid stray permanent magnets. was transported system consisting copper rings an inner diameter 66 mm,located at distance 85 mm from exit gun. dependence current amplitude gradient fielddecay has been studied. studies carried out have shown possibility stable tens keVin solenoid. By optimizing distribution (created solenoid ring magnets) itsdecay gradient, it is possible to achieve increase incident electrons one (up ~72% current). On basis themathematical model movement flow, software tool synthesized that makes obtain interpret thecharacteristics resulting flows. obtained numerical dependences are satisfactory agreement experimental for magneticfield large decay gradient. Various configurations considered. Solutions direct problem modeling electrontrajectories given initial conditions obtained. It forthe selected distributions longitudinal along axis transportchannel, flux falls vertical section, length which order millimeter. Thus, changing anddistribution field, control direction pipe, and, therefore, place theelectron irradiation.
